Event details
Join us for an action-packed festival as we celebrate re-opening Middlewood Locks canal for the first time in 15 years.
During the day, expect live music including a performance from the Fat Cat Brass Band and a makers’ market with artists from Islington Mill and Hot Bed Press. The Middlewood Locks Canal Festival will bring activities on the water, art workshops and street food vendors. Stick around New Maker Yards for the evening for an epic fire display and DJ.
Pop into your favourite 92 Degrees for delicious treats and hot drinks and Seven Bro7hers for hot food, beer and more alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Book your slot for the canoe paddling here. This activity is on a reservation only and won’t accept walk-ins so don’t miss out! Parents and guardians must accompany their children on this paddle.
The Middlewood Locks Canal Festival in Salford is brought to you by Get Living and Middlewood Locks.
The event is supported by Creative Embassies, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Salford City Council, Salford Community and Voluntary Services, Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal Society and Canal & River Trust.
