As the former Athlete’s Village for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the village was created with accessibility in mind. Our flagship neighbourhood, now called East Village, set the precedent for making all our future neighbourhoods and homes accessible.
Get Living sets an example for build-to-rent operators by committing to equality of access. All Get Living homes have step-free access (via lifts) from entry to front door. All private balconies and terraces have level thresholds to facilitate movement for wheelchair users and the ambulant disabled. All our neighbourhoods have car parking available for blue badge holders.
Most recently, we are working towards making our website more accessible to all. By using Recite Me’s assistive toolbar, we aim to create a more inclusive online experience for all. Open the toolbar by pressing on the accessibility icon located in the top right on desktop and within the menu on mobile. Read our guide on how to use an accessibility toolbar.
The accessibility plug-in gives those who are neurodivergent or visually impaired the ability to discover the Get Living community through a number of reading and customisation features. If English is not your first language, try the translation feature and read about Get Living in over 100 languages.
