Seven Bro7hers, a brewery owned by a family of seven actual brothers from Salford with a shared love craft beer, has chosen Middlewood Locks as the location for its second beerhouse in the city.
Following on from the success of their Ancoats beerhouse, the Seven Bro7hers are bringing it home to Salford at Middlewood Locks where Get Living offers homes for rent within New Maker Yards.
The new beerhouse will add to the character of this new canal side community as it becomes both a local and a destination – just like its older brother in Ancoats. Just as in Ancoats, there will be lots of community events, great food and, of course, Seven Bro7hers’ amazing beer.
“The beerhouse belongs to the community,” says brother Keith McAvoy. “Without the community, we’re nothing. We all grew up together in a big loving family, and that’s the vibe we aim for in our beerhouses – somewhere people really like to be, somewhere they feel at home.”
Kim Quickfall, General Manager at New Maker Yards, adds: “Seven Bro7hers have been the talk of the neighbourhood – we worked with the team earlier in the year on our pop-up summer events and residents have been buzzing for the beerhouse to open its doors.
“Their ethos aligns perfectly with Get Living; bringing people together and creating brilliant experiences. New Maker Yards at Middlewood Locks offers renters both a home and a social hub, with indoor and outdoor communal spaces to foster a sense of community, something that will only be strengthened by the presence of Seven Bro7hers.”
Overlooking the canal and with impressive views onto Manchester, the beerhouse is the second retailer to open in the neighbourhood joining a Co-op.
Seven Bro7hers is officially open from Wednesday 18 December 2019. For their regular opening hours and more information, head to the Seven Brothers Middlewood Locks page. The beerhouse is a regular meet-up spot and destination for many of Get Living’s resident events including jazz on the canal and our annual ‘RuPaws’ drag show.
